PROJECT SCOPE We will discuss your project by telephone, e-mail, and/or face-to-face meeting to clearly define your requirements. If you already have specifications developed, I will review them and make recommendations as required.
ESTIMATE After the Project Scope is clearly defined, I will provide you with a detailed estimate of the project. It is not unusual to go through this process more than once to arrive at a solution that fits within your short-term budget and many times a project is divided into manageable phases.
PROJECT AGREEMENT Upon arriving at an acceptable Project Scope and Estimate, we will execute a Project Agreement.
DESIGN & SPECIFICATION As defined by the Project Scope, we will discuss, and I will prepare, all documentation necessary to define the database structure and functional specifications of the applications.
DELIVERABLES The various components of the database and applications will be developed and delivered according to the Project Schedule. During development, frequent communications and/or meetings are usually required and partially developed applications may be distributed for evaluation and feedback.
TESTING Prior to deployment of your database and applications, a Test Period is usually determined to assure proper application functionality and debugging.
DEPLOYMENT & IMPLEMENTATION After a successful Test Period, your database will be deployed, applications are distributed and implemented. |

1099 CONTRACT As a contract professional, I work with clients on either an hourly rate basis or on a fixed contract basis.
LOCATION I, generally, perform design and development work at my shop, often using a remote connection via your company VPN, with scheduled meetings on-site at the your location as required. If you prefer, I will negotiate performing design and development work at your site or anywhere in the United States.
PLANNING THE PROJECT Good communication, organization, and planning are vital to the success of developing a solid database solution. I exhaust every effort to assure that the project is clearly defined before beginning the development process. I develop structural and interface design and specifications to a level sufficient to define the scope of the project.
DELIVERY & DEPLOYMENT Although it is not always necessary in every case, testing, deployment, and implementation typically take place on-site at the your location. After-the-fact application updates are usually shipped to you via an e-mail attachment or downloaded from my FTP site.
DOCUMENTATION, TRAINING, & SUPPORT I will also provide documentation, training, and support as required and negotiated. |
